For the last four years, I have lived and thrived in NYC, supporting early stage startup CEO’s with product, sales and marketing initiatives. Throughout that time I’ve dealt with Advertising, Finance, Education and Learning, and HR Technology companies, gaining a level of exposure to multiple industries which I don’t believe to be very common.
Over the last 2 years, I have emerged myself in Recruitment Technology companies, analyzing their features and functionality, demoing approximately 30 new Recruitment Tech companies a month while advising the buyers of these solutions, Global Heads of Talent Acquisition, on their technology strategy.
In the meantime, I’ve been constantly reading and researching, trying to round out my skillset with product management and technical (dev) skills.
As a result, I’ve built a pretty good understanding of various challenges that early stage companies face and I’ve seen where the ones who do well get it right and where those who fail fumble.
This blog is a place for me to capture some of that insight, hopefully in time these thoughts will become a useful guide for other like-minded individuals and who knows what else may come out of it?
